Mock Hunt

Join us for an exciting "mock hunt" through the trails and fields of Locust Hill Preserve!

Location: Locust Hill Preserve, 8070 N James Madison Hwy, Mitchells, VA

Date: May 17, 2026 at 10:00 am

Attire: Polo shirts (no red please) with breeches and boots, or ratcatcher. Helmets required.

Fee: $50/rider

We'll have a huntsman, staff, and fieldmasters leading three fields of horses and riders over a course designed to simulate an actual foxhunt. The only thing missing will be the hounds!

First field will be for those horses and riders who are capable of jumping and cantering forward in a group.
Second field will be forward with no jumping.
Third field is primarily walk/trot with no jumping.

Hunt breakfast afterwards!

Waiver and negative Coggins required.
