(c) Grace Kellogg - Unbridled ImagesOn Saturday, the day before Halloween, I rode as a whipper-in with Rosie Campbell. A whipper-in is someone who assists the huntsman throughout the hunt. During the four and a half hours we were out, I had the most fun riding I have had in a long time. I also saw four foxes and we chased a coyote, but we had to stop the hounds because they would just run forever after a coyote. I learned that when it is windy you want the hounds to run against the wind so the foxes scent will blow right into them. I had a blast that day and I hope that one day every junior at Bull Run will get to ride as a whipper-in, because it is a lot of fun!
